Fire Station Open House

On Sunday, we went to the Summit Fire Station open house, just a few miles from our house. They were celebrating the house they bought and are converting into their new station. There were trucks to explore and a bouncy house (the same one in our neighbor's yard last week!) (Yes, it's a small town!) They had BBQ food, beans, coleslaw, pop, and LOTS of desserts. There was a polka band on the back deck, a visit from Smokey Bear, balloons, and we got to talk to the fire chief and chief of police. The Palmer's joined us and Olivia and Isaac bounced for a long time (just the two of them.) After the big kids came in, they enjoyed cookies and suckers while we took cover from the rain. It's events like this that make me love Flagstaff!

How fun!! I love the polka band! Did you do a jig? You're right, these are the fun things about a hometown. I LOVE all the Faire on the Square things during the summer. Mainly for all the good food!
