Well, our neighbors have a 9 year old and she and her friend have been hanging out all summer, riding bikes and playing with Olivia in the front yard and back. I mentioned my dresses and how I wanted to see if they would model them for me if I could make some in their size. They were all over it! I mentioned it a few days ago and they have been at my door at least 5 times a day to see if the dress was ready. I finally had to make it and they loved it! Today, J tried hers on and I hemmed it to the length she wanted. She wants to wear it the first day of school (5th grade) and she and her friend are convinced they are going to be the coolest girls at school.

The idea of older kids wearing them was a good one, right? I guess it was actually my mother-in-law that told me. The Big Just Liv looks cute!!
Love it! Maybe for little girls you could make it just a tunic-short enough just as a top? Rachel wears dresses all the time, halter neck styles too. I can wait a few more months though. I'll just get one for next summer :)
Wow, I just looked at the time on the posted message and it said 5 am!!! It's 7, so I wasn't up THAT eary!!
