My friend Tami told Arcelia and I about a tradition she read about where you start on December 1st and gather 24 Christmas themed books for your kids. You wrap them all and each night, your child chooses a book for you to read under the tree (or in bed) I happened to have 6 or 7 Christmas books already so for the rest, Olivia and I went to the library today. I think Tami and Arcelia went to the used book store in town and found a good stash. Olivia and I spent a good amount of time wrapping this afternoon and then she and Daddy finished up tonight. Olivia wanted to put them under her tree so they'd be handy at bedtime. We'll see if this is a tradition we want to keep up.

Yay, you're doing it too!! I like the idea of the books being in Olivia's room under her tree! We started and Kendall is liking it so far. Its a bit more challenging with 2 kiddos since they both want to unwrap a book. The first night I let them both open one and tonight they picked and opened one together! (I have a few extra books to make up for the nights they pick a baby board book) I'll be looking for new books on clearance after Christmas!
Cool idea! So crafty!
What a wonderful idea. Olivia is lucky to have a mom and dad who does so many special things and creates so many happy memories. Her tree! She has her OWN tree!
Love the music on the blog! My favorite. I think the book tradition is great and I have to agree with Tami that it is hard to do with two! You'll find out soon!
