We continued our family tradition of going to Little America for the lighting of the grounds. We always go early and eat dinner in the hotel cafe. Our quaint little cafe finally closed down, so we ended up in the main restaurant. It was a little "fancier" but the food was the same. The Palmer's and Nicholson's (minus Daddy) joined us and we all enjoyed the first snow of the season while walking the grounds. It may sound enchanting, but it was really cold, wet and crowded. We didn't stay long and everyone came back to our house for warm apple pie and ice cream, Ovaltine-hot (thank you, James) and donuts.Wednesday, December 2, 2009

There's something magic in the air when the grounds get lit at Little America. Anyone who hasn't seen it can't actually imagine how beautiful it is. I'm glad you went and got to experience it. The hot chocolate sounds great, too.
Fun!
