Olivia has been in preschool twice a week for a month now. She loves it so much! She has made sweet friends and has been learning all sorts of new things. The school is wonderful and her teachers are terrific. I have been looking forward to this special time since she was born. She is doing so well and we are truly blessed that she is able to go there. Olivia is learning letters, sounds and sign language. They do arts and crafts, science projects, cook, do dishes, gardening, music, and of course a lot of playing! Olivia's teacher told us he was doing great and that she is the kind of student they really enjoy having. They said she is very social and has many friends. She is her own advocate and speaks up when she needs to. Also, they said she is a good singer and is always singing and that we should follow up on that...oh boy! She says she wants to be a rock star when she grows up. She is quite a performer, but we'll see.
Last night was open house and parents were able to go and see what the kids have been working on. We were all really excited and of course I brought my camera!

What a great school. You can really see how proud you are as a mom. That's what having kids is all about. All the fun new stuff they do.
That sounds like a neat school! Go Olivia!!
Your very first parent-teacher talk! I'm so glad she is at Acorn. Olivia is a great singer. At your house, I grabbed the broom, and she ran over and got her own, small one. Suddenly, in this strong, determined voice, she started singing "Team Work" . . . the entire time we swept. It was fantastic.
