Ok, I got taken really bad today! I can't believe I was that gullible! Here's what happened. I knew it was April Fool's Day but I got busy and I must have forgot. Olivia and I went for a walk, ran some errands, went to Target and on the way home I was changing radio stations and stopped on the Bee Gee's classic "Stayin' Alive" (stop laughing, you know you like that song too) After it was over another disco song started and I was really enjoying myself! The announcer came on and said, "Welcome to our new format, ALL DISCO!" It was like a dream come true! Now, in addition to having my favorite "70's, 80's and whatever we want" station, I'll have a cool, retro disco station. A Fifth of Beetoven came on and Olivia starts yelling "Too Loud Mama!" from the backseat. I started thinking, Is there enough disco for an all disco format?? Sure. Why not? I swear, I didn't even question it until I was almost home. It hit me like a ton of bricks....It's April 1st, is it a joke? OMG, they are kidding! I was really excited and then hugely let down. I know, I'm old and becoming more un-cool by the moment, but when my Bee Gee's Greatest Hits CD got cracked in half, I was very upset. This could have made up for it. (Again, stop laughing, The Bee Gee's rock!)
Now, I'm back to radio and the 6 CD's currently in my changer, which include:
1) Stephen Bishops Greatest Hits (You know you like the love theme from "Tootsie" too)
2) Chuck Cheesman Family Album (a local childrens artist)
3) Journey (can't remember which one)
4) Totally 80's (compilation of rad singles by ABC, Kajagoogoo, Q-Feel, Duran Duran)
5) Run DMC's Greatest Hits (It's Tricky, You Be Illin', Walk This Way, etc)
6) Have A Nice Day 1976 (Ambrosia, Todd Rundgren, etc)
Ok, so I'm rapidly approaching 40...(in 2+ yrs) and my taste in music is strange. I want Olivia to be exposed to all of my favorites though. It's who I am...

Whenever I hear disco, I think about you.
