Sister Bonding

Liv singing "You Are My Sunshine" to Lucy
"I love you, baby"

Lucy needed a little supplementing the first few days before my milk came in. Olivia was able to feed her sister.
Sleepy baby...

Coming Home

This is us being discharged from the hospital. It was exactly 24 hours after Lucy was born. The hospital stay for me was less than satisfactory...I'll have to explain later.
All ready to go home in her Bundle Me.
Olivia meeting her baby sister for the first time.

Grandma and Grandpa Gogue flew to Phoenix the night of her birth and drove up Sunday morning.

Grandpa and Lucy

Grandma Lanssens flew in Saturday night also. She was able to stay for almost two weeks and give us much needed help and support.

Sweet Baby Lucy

This post is about a month late, but I have a good excuse! I've been busy with a newborn. I can't seem to find the time needed to blog. I figured I'll just get the pictures posted and I can tell the story later.
The picture above was taken by Olivia a few days before Lucy was born. We had a crazy big snowstorm days before she was born. This is the view from my labor and delivery room the morning Lucy arrived.
I arrived at the hospital at 6:30am on Saturday, January 23rd. The nurse checked me and I was dilated to 9cm!! I was in full labor and very uncomfortable. I planned on getting an epidural and was told it was too late....after some begging, they paged anesthesia and I got it just in time..Thank God!! The relief was so fast and wonderful. This is me right after the epidural was placed, enjoying a little oxygen, Ahhhhhhh.

Baby Lucy, seconds after birth. 8 lbs 6 oz

Getting all checked out.

Olivia Gets Beautiful

Olivia got a trim a couple of days ago by Barbie. It's pretty crazy how Barbie spoils her by curling and fussing over her. Olivia loves it! I just happened to have the camera with me this time.

Sisters

Telling her first secret to her sister.....

I really wanted to get some pictures of Olivia with my belly. I think you're supposed to do it at around 7 months, not when you're about to pop! Anyway, Arcelia was wonderful, and took these of Olivia and I a few days ago. I think she did a great job!! They have a great camera and Arcelia really has a eye for photography. I love her work! I have lots more but wanted to share these.

Thank You so much, Arcelia!!!

Full Sized Christmas

Sorry the collage wouldn't enlarge, I don't know why. Here are some of them bigger.

Christmas 2009

Here is a little sample of our Christmas this year. Santa came through and brought Olivia a hula hoop. She was very happy!
